Major Duties/Responsibilities:
Provide medical services to Veterans on an outpatient basis in the primary care setting. Disease processes include, but are not limited to diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, mental health disorders, etc., with a major focus on preventive medicine.
Provide effective delivery of outpatient care while meeting and exceeding compliance standards.
Maintain current clinical privileges, licensure, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and all other requirements as appropriate.
Cooperate with, and participate in, medical duties or functions related to quality of care and peer review along with improvement/performance improvement activities at the direction of the Chief of the Medical Service.
This position has no call or weekend duties
This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program.
