Atlantic Health System is Seeking a System Medical Director, Pediatric Service Line, Atlantic Health System; and Department Chair of Pediatrics for Morristown Medical Center, Overlook Medical Center, and Goryeb Children's Hospital
Atlantic Health System (AHS), one of New Jersey's largest integrated health care systems, is seeking an experienced physician leader to serve as the System Medical Director, Pediatric Service Line, Atlantic Health System; and Department Chair of Pediatrics for Morristown Medical Center, Overlook Medical Center, and Goryeb Children's Hospital. This opportunity is ideal for an accomplished, collaborative physician-leader with a proven track record of advancing excellence and innovation.
The System Medical Director, Pediatric Service Line, Atlantic Health System; and Department Chair of Pediatrics for Morristown Medical Center, Overlook Medical Center, and Goryeb Children's Hospital will establish and lead the implementation of the Pediatric Service Line's strategic direction across Atlantic Health System to further our enterprise mission of building healthier communities through high quality, exceptional performance, growth, research, and education. Additionally, this Physician Leader will support the AHS mission of designing and delivering high quality, innovative and personalized care to build healthier communities and improve lives for patients, consumers, and caregivers and ensure that clinical "best practices" are developed, shared, and implemented throughout the System. Qualifications
- MD or DO degree
- Board certification in specialty area
- Ideal pediatric subspecialties include Neurology, Cardiology, and Gastroenterology
- Robust clinical leadership experience, for instance serving as a Department Chair, is critical
- Experience within an academic setting is preferred
- Business degree or equivalent graduate level degree is also preferred
- All candidates must be licensed or eligible for licensure in the State of New Jersey
